Light, Ladd & Emberton
WINNER - Best Dance Production, Wales Theatre Awards 2015
Caitlin was the wife of poet Dylan Thomas. In 1973 Caitlin started attending Alcoholics Anonymous. The audience sits with Caitlin in the circle of chairs as she revisits her tempestuous life with Dylan, and the unoccupied chairs becoming part of the action in this physical and powerful duet.
The audience are placed at the heart of action and are witness to Caitlin's recounting of a relationship that was fuelled by love, addiction, jealousy and infidelity. The work is brutal and tender, physically powerful and at times grotesque.

“It is a wonderful, movingly truthful ending to a peerless and revelatory performance.” Cath Barton, Wales Arts Review
“It is terse, intricate and, at times, frightening with the interaction between Ladd and Emberton capturing the relationship in a way that so many drama biopics fail…a multi-textured roller-coaster of humour and pathos, sexuality and innocence, violence and interdependency.” Mike Smith, Western Mail and Theatre in Wales
“This show defied anyone from not being captivated, totally engrossed and at times shocked with its veracity.” Wales Theatre Awards 2015
CAITLIN can be performed up to twice in one day and we can make available workshops and talks if required.
