A heartwarming tale about the value of connecting with others, even when the path isn't always smooth. The Gardener loves the smell of the flowers, the feel of the earth and watching her plants bloom. But along comes a magpie who turns her potting shed upside down! Making new friends is lots of fun, but can sometimes be tricky. Join our gardener and magpie on this playful and heart warming journey as they navigate the intricacies of friendship. Featuring puppetry, plants and lots of pots, this show is designed to delight ages 2-6 and their grown ups.
Performer Name: Scarlet Oak Theatre
Jasmine Orchard and Lucia d’Inverno met when training at Circomedia: centre for Contemporary Circus and Physical Theatre and have since trained in clowning with Ecole Phillipe Gaulier. Both artists bring to the company their experience from working in a variety of educational settings which has highly informed their practice in creating work for young audiences. With their separate careers in acting, puppeteering, directing and producing, they have come together to form Scarlet Oak Theatre, a company committed to making theatre that is exciting, accessible and engaging for children and their grownups.
