Saswat is a well known Odissi (form of Indian classical dance) dancer. He will be coming with a group, him and 5 other highly skilled dancers. the performance will be about Indian epics story telling, facial expressions of human feelings, foundational postures. The dancers communicate the story in sign language using mudras (hand gestures) bhavas (enacting mood emotions) eye and body movements. The dance is fluid, graceful and sensual. Abhinaya in Odissi is performed to verses recited in Sanskrit and Odia language.
