Kizzy Crawford is a Welsh-speaking singer-songwriter of Bajan heritage, known for her unique blend of jazz, folk, soul, and funk. At 27, she released her debut album with Freestyle Records in 2019, supported by the PRS Women in Music fund. In 2021, she launched her first Welsh language album, 'Rhydd', through Sain Records. Kizzy’s music has gained traction on BBC Radio 1, 2, 6Music, and more, with her single "Progression" featured on Jo Whiley and Simon Mayo's playlist. She has performed at major UK and European festivals, including Glastonbury and the London Jazz Festival, and internationally in Canada. Recently, she released two new singles, "Cadwyni Yn Fy Mhen" and "Codwr Y Meirwon," and is currently working on further releases for 2025. She has played notable venues like the National Assembly for Wales and supported artists such as Joss Stone and Gruff Rhys. Kizzy has also appeared on TV, including playing the role of 'PC Emma Jones' in the BBC Drama 'Keeping Faith'. A member of BDi Music since 2014, five of her songs are part of the WJEC A Level Music syllabus. In 2017, she collaborated with jazz pianist Gwilym Simcock on 'Birdsong-Can Yr Adar', which toured Wales and London Jazz Festival and the recording was released by Basho Records. Recent theatre roles include the title character in 'Petula' for National Theatre Wales. Kizzy is also involved in composing music for various media, including the BBC Radio documentary 'The Silent Twins' and the children’s show 'TIPINI' for S4C.
