Amruta, Jo, Richard, Dan, and Peter form a culturally diverse band called Zero Mile, united by their love of music. With backgrounds spanning Indian, French, English, Welsh, Spanish, and German heritages, they bring a rich tapestry of influences to their musical journey. Zero Mile's voyage began in India, where they immersed themselves in its deep musical traditions. They seamlessly blend Eastern and Western influences, crafting harmonious compositions that resonate across cultures. Amruta, a versatile Indian classical singer skilled in Harmonium and Tanpura, enriches the ensemble with various Indian music genres. Richard's expertise lies in slide guitar, inspired by the Maharaja Blues Band. Jo, a jazz postgraduate, brings international experience to the group. Peter is a percussionist adept with the Cajon and various drums and deep interest in Indian Music. Together, they create a soul-stirring mosaic that bridges borders and hearts.
