Show Name: Good Habits

Show Description

One of the most exciting new indie-folk bands to come out of the UK in recent years, Good Habits’ award-winning, genre-fusing sound has received international critical acclaim in the short 4 years they have existed with performances at Glastonbury and WOMAD, and tours throughout Europe and Australasia. Their new album ‘Quarter-Life’ charted in the UK Official Folk Charts top 40, and received glowing press across BBC Radio, Songlines Magazine and more. Composed of Bonnie Schwarz (cello + vocals) and Pete Shaw (accordion), the pair mix revved-up virtuosity and harmony with vivid storytelling, drawing on their diverse musical tastes and weaving them into an action-packed narrative of genre-bending folky goodness. After a pandemic spent happily stranded in New Zealand on tour, they arrived back in the UK in 2022 to spread their joyous music throughout Europe. “Strong songwriting, pin-precision vocals, hard rocking accordion and great acoustic grooves…musicianship at its 21st century best." Tom Robinson BBC Radio 6
