Show Description

Wales, 1995. It’s been 10 years since the mine closed and the village is still bleeding. A solitary pub remains with one patron inside, Emyr. Bitter about the past and indifferent to the future, Emyr’s life changes at the unwelcome visit of Simon, a wealthy Englishman. Over the 90 minutes the audience are invited to sing, laugh and cry along with Emyr and Simon as their differences are put under the microscope and their stereotypes put to the test. Supported by the songs of Max Boyce throughout, this bittersweet drama looks back at the miners' strike and asks the question: where did the heart go? "It feels like a privilege to highlight a company as new, relevant and emotionally intelligent as Nawr Ond Wedyn" - BuzzMag. "a powerful and resonant piece of new Welsh writing" - One4Review Here's what our audiences think: "Amazing. Poignant, moving, funny." - Nicola "6 stars out of 5.
