Performer Name: Dommy B

Show Name: Make Some Noise

Show Description

In ‘Make Some Noise’, Dommy B shares a surprising story about growing up and finding his feet with his friends in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. Hear about him finding a brilliant (but naughty) imaginary friend, becoming ‘Junk the Punk’ and joining a great school band (Whizzkid and the Veggie Burgers)! There’ll be rhymes, jokes, and lots of opportunity for those who like joining in to join in (although no one has to!) and 'make some noise' in a celebration of the power of sound and friendship. Dommy B is an award-winning poet (Glastonbury festival Poet in Residence, two times winner of Saboteur UK's 'Best Spoken Word Artist'). This show has toured to full capacity audiences in cities and rural touring networks across England, Wales and Scotland since 2022. It is full of jokes, excitement and heart, to keep children aged 5+ and their grown-ups spell-bound by its engaging story-telling and marvellous rhymes!

It is not accessible for deaf people unless we collaborate together on getting a specific person to be a signer, which other venue managers have in the past done, but this is not what I am initially offering here. It is a spoken word show, so hearing the words is essential. There is movement, but a person with sight challenges or a person who is blind could enjoy this show.
This is a spoken word show in which there is no specific lighting. The main focus is the jokey, imaginative language - I've never found a stage lit in a way in which this show cannot wonderfully happen.
None. No mic needed. No amplfied sound or music.
Yes. Lots! I am happy for this to be arranged with bookers upon booking. Often we have posters, flyers, online videos - but it depends what this specific venue would like
