Show Name: Skeleton Woman and Rabbit

Show Description

Skeleton Woman and Rabbit are two separate stories woven together with song and music about the journey back to our wild selves and our wild heart. The first story is a old tale from the inuit and the second story is shorter and has been handed down the oral tradition of our isles and has old mythical roots. The show weaves haunting voice with the sounds of the Tampura, Violin, Shruti Box and Hand drum and other hand instruments as is usually an acoustic set without microphones and suitable for smaller venues as well as larger venues. The show length is 60 minutes. We are developing a second half which will be available from later spring 2025 which will incorporate a new story called 'Weed Woman' which would extend the evening into two halves of 60 minutes each. Venue usually supplies lighting We are happy to bring candles for atmosphere if venue allows Minimal Ambient Lighting required
We can set up in 30 minutes as all hand instruments easy to travel We need 3 chairs and sometimes a small table to rest instruments though the latter not essential. We usually let venue sort out decorations/backdrop/lighting We can turn up anywhere and share (indoors and outdoors) Venue supplies all seating for audience etc... Size of Performance Area minimum requirement is small possibly 4 meters by 2.5/4 meters footprint is enough... a little more space is always appreciated
We can supply photos I can create a poster on Canva and put your venue and other details on to it or can pass you photos to choose from to create your own promotional material. We can supply posters with enough notice to create them and subject to printing costs if to a professional standard and not home printing quality. Currently we have no video or audio recordings of the show.
Caravan of Storytellers was founded in 2011 by Sonia Sophia. It is a company of talented Storytellers, Musicians, Song Carriers and Performance Artists. Sonia Sophia collaborates with many artists to bring Storytelling with Music and Song. Currently based in Pembrokeshire, Wales and delighted to travel with offerings further afield.
