Show Name: Eve Goodman & SERA Album launch

Show Description

2023 'Can I Gymru' finalists Eve & Sera's collaboration began when Sarah Zyborska and Eve Goodman were selected as 'Horizons artists' in 2019. Both folk singer-songwriters in their own right, with rising solo careers. Both were part of CEG Records and both from Caernarfon, but had never collaborated creatively before. Being part of Horizons brought them together and after just one writing session they found common ground. Nature. Surrounded by the beautiful North Wales landscape that is such an important part of their lives they began to explore the Welsh language terms for birds and insects, fish and trees, and soon enough a body of work was growing, each song a hymn of love to 'Natur'. Inspired by the Lost Words - Spells Songs project, their songwriting became a way of breathing life into the Welsh words seldom used or known by most for the plants and beings in nature. To date they have written 10 songs together, released two singles, performed together at Maida Vale, on Heno, S4C, Ty Gwerin at the 2022 Eisteddfod and Between the Trees festival. The live show is a Welsh language performance of the album in full. In between songs, the pair will bilingually share stories, anecdotes and insights into the creative process of creating this body of work.

Eve & Sera- Tech Spec Eve Goodman: 07952030917 evesarahgoodman@gmail.com Sarah Zyborska: 07800761533 serasongs.official@gmail.com CHANNEL LIST · x2 Mic and mic stands for 2 lead vocal · X2 DI box for 2 electro acoustic guitars · Drum guitar mic for ukulele · Drum mic for djembe and percussion · 1 cardioid mic for shruti box (placed on the floor and powered by foot pedal): The Shruti Box is a wind instrument which generates sound waves within turbulent air movement. If positioned directly in front of a microphone the wind-force will hit the microphone diaphragm and create distortion. To remove this undesirable effect you can either add a wind shield, possibly like the kind used for vocal microphones, or position a cardioid microphone slightly higher than, and pointing towards the keyboard, at a distance of at least 200mm. Recommend experimenting with distances. Please could I request 2 floor monitor speakers- one each We like a small amount of reverb on ours voice in our monitors and to the FOH system Thanks in advance to the tech team, Eve & Sarah
We will promote the show on social media and have ticket links available on our websites
Eve Goodman grew up in North Wales, and has had a deep relationship with singing and sounding for as long as she can remember. Eve writes and performs in both Welsh and English. Having spent much of her childhood feeling things deeply, music became a way to give voice to her inner landscape, allowing her to express herself in a reflective and honest way. “Music is like a portal to my emotions, a way of transmuting and transcribing them.”
