King Goon are a punk rock band of six, playing all original music. Fully electric: lead guitar, bass, full drum kit, rhythm guitar, keyboard, saxophone, bouzouki and four vocalists. Lyrically, we take regular and profane aim at the various foul institutions and groups of morally-bankrupt chancers that collectively befoul both our natural world and our body politic...with jokes, big choruses and big riffs, of course...and it wouldn't be a King Goon show without the occasional digression into nostalgia and surrealism. Musically, we’re a kaleidoscopic, genre-fluid, drive-by of a band, taking in (and spitting out) elements of ska, punk, folk, country, classic rock, and even a bit of goth - in a pure and profound expression of where we are, both as people and as musicians, as we enter into the back end of this foul decade.
