An exciting new partnership of two outstanding and experienced internationally acclaimed musicians - Madeleine Mitchell, "one of the UK's liveliest musical forces and foremost violinists" (Richard Morrison, the Times), winner of the Welsh Music Guild Stuart Burrows Award and London-based Brazilian pianist Clelia Iruzun, perform the ever popular Franck Violin Sonata plus a short Brazilian piece and the powerful John Ireland Violin Sonata no.2 (121). The artists perform in England in May and Brazil in August 2026. So far in Wales they have a recital at Rhos-y-Gilwen 8 November 2026 and are happy to make this into a tour. Both artists are known for their friendly spoken introductions to audiences as well as their performances.

Violinist Madeleine Mitchell has performed as soloist and chamber musicians in over 50 countries. Described by The Times as 'one of the UK"s liveliest musical forces (and) foremost violinists', she has been delighting audiences throughout Wales from broadcasts for the BBC as soloist with BBCNOW to recitals in village halls with her engaging spoken introductions. Winner of the Welsh Music Guild Stuart Burrows Award for 'her significant promotion of Welsh music', she has a wide repertoire and also offers concerts with her London Chamber Ensemble - please see London Chamber Ensemble listing. In 2024/25 she gave concerts at Aberystwyth Museum, Lampeter and Knighton Music Clubs and Rhosygilwen, where she returns 8.11.26 for a violin & piano recital - availability open around this. Previous concerts in Wales include Bangor, Rhyl, RWCMD, festivals etc
