Step into the magical world of The Crafty Cabaret, where the air is filled with excitement and laughter! With your help we will embark on thrilling journeys filled with adventurers, dragons, and even trips to outer space! But here's the twist... all the props, costumes, and set are made from things that you, our audience, make, choose or even bring from home. A mop becomes an excellent wig, a broomstick transforms into a mighty sword, and a kitchen pot becomes the shield of a brave knight. Every show is a brand new improvised adventure, sparked by your imaginative ideas and brought to life by our talented performers using the simplest of materials. Get ready to giggle, gasp, and cheer as we dive into a world where anything is possible. Join us for an unforgettable experience where the only limit is your imagination! (Suitable for all ages) How it works - Workshop: roughly 45 minutes where the audience help us make props, costumes and characters. If you can help provide clean recycling that can be used for crafts please let us know. (Short break) Show: approx 45 minutes long, where the audience will help us tell the story, create the sound effects and steer the ship (sometimes literally!)

As long as we are lit, we are happy! The show can work in spaces with no specialist lighting. If lighting is available then we just need a warm general wash for the performance (and some light on the audience). We are also happy for any Tech person that wants to join in to play with us - because the show is highly improvised, there is no set lighting plan, but it is always fun if someone wants to add tech as we go!
It is nice to have background music for the workshop, as well as audience in/out music, and so it's useful if we can plug a phone into a speaker system for this (through a mini audio jack), however we can also bring our own P.A if needed.

Flossy and Boo is an internationally touring, critically acclaimed South Wales based Theatre company. Since 2014 we have developed our portfolio of work to include; indoor theatre, outdoor theatre, cabaret, street theatre, walkabout acts and immersive, interactive environments. We have toured nationally and internationally, picking up four and five star reviews along the way; from Geneva to the Limburg Festival in the Netherlands, headlining Mavericks stage at Glastonbury, to performing all over the UK. Nothing we do is ordinary… So, don’t fret about following the ‘rules’ of traditional theatre. Embrace the playful chaos!
