Let your hosts, Roman and Prudence flip through their guest book and regale you with showbiz stories and anecdotes. From their heyday as the B&B to the stars to their present day haven of secrets, Ro and Pru will introduce you to the characters that reside in The Dakota. Expect songs, sketches and verse as each guest room opens. From acclaimed theatre makers Black Liver, Devilled Eggs is their latest two-hander play about a guest house over the span of a one night stay (breakfast included). ‘Part music duo, part double act - Black Liver are that quirky couple you want as your best friends…’ Northern Uproar Ruth is from Blackpool. Keith is from Liverpool. And thus, they became Black Liver. Born during lockdown 2020, when performance artist Ruth and cult comedian Keith had nothing better to do. What started as some silly songs on YouTube led to commissions for museums, libraries, and children’s charities. They are now a touring theatre company with two shows under their belt, numerous tours all over the country and a dedicated live following. Black Liver loves touring interesting community spaces and theatres; bringing live performance to everyone - especially those that don’t get the chance to experience it as they are restricted financially or geographically.
