Show Name: Allan Yn Y Fan - Twmpath
Show Description
A twmpath dance is a great way to bring your community together and is socially inclusive and suitable for all ages. Allan Yn Y Fan has over twenty years experience of getting any crowd up on its feet and dancing, so we know what we're doing! Never danced before? As long as you're willing to give it a go no previous experience is necessary and our experienced caller will lead you through all the dances. The whole purpose of a twmpath is to enable everyone to let their hair down and have a great time. We've played in village galls, marquees, barns, on piers and even had 20,000 peope dancing in Bute \Park, Cardiff as part of the Roald Dhal centenary 'City of the Unexpected' celebrations.

ALLAN YN Y FAN :
Celtic Music from Wales
A multi-instrumental and vocal sextet, Allan Yn Y Fan has been recording and touring internationally since 2003. An AYYF concert is an uplifting experience - a mixture of some of the gems from the storehouse of Welsh traditional music and song coupled with original compositions.
Allan Yn Y Fan is renowned for the connection made between themselves and their audiences. An Allan Yn Y Fan concert is always an uplifting event. As one audience member commended: “Great show, great music - superb connection to the audience”.
We’re just as happy playing in village halls and schools as in theatres and festivals, acoustic or with a PA system. We want our performances to be socially inclusive and suitable for all ages, so are more than willing to organise a relaxed performance to suit your needs.
“Probably the best Celtic band to come out of Wales in the 21st Century” according to Maverick magazine, whilst The Living Tradition acknowledges the band’s role in “establishing the rightful importance and place of Wales within Celtic music and helping to put it well and truly on the musical map.....”
