An evening of traditional dances from France to the music of Kantref. As a prelude to the dance, Kantref can run workshops to teach participants of any level of experience, from beginners to advanced dancers.
No particular requirements
A performance area for 5-piece band, at least 2m x 4m with electricity supply to hand.
Area for dancing will depend on numbers attending, but will generally be of small hall size with no obstructions, change in level or other hazards to dancing.
One and a half hours set up/sound check time required prior to performance and one hour after to dismantle.

Kantref is a band based in Wales who specialise in playing French and Breton music for dancing. It consists of five very experienced musicians, using accordion, fiddles, guitar, mandolin and bass who play traditional and self-composed music for all the traditional dances found in France.
