DESCRIPTION

Hopefully hopeful, The Rest of Our Lives is a cabaret of life and near death. A joyful morning dose of dance, circus and games. 

Two middle-aged lives in an eclectic, spontaneous, predictable and random decline.

The struggle is real.
It’s the beginning of the end.
But we’re still here.

Jo is an old dancer, George an old clown. International artists with 100 years of life experience between them, armed with a soundtrack of floor-fillers, a book of raffle tickets and a sprinkling of eco-friendly optimism.

Created and performed by Jo Fong and George Orange.

Specially commissioned by the Rural Touring Dance Initiative with funding from Arts Council Wales.

The show is a two-hander designed for village halls and studio theatres.
We’re interested in community building and that happens in new ways and with a focus on diversifying audiences.
The show touches on themes around aging, friendship and care.

The Rest of Our Lives has previously been performed at Ageless Festival, Yorkshire Dance; Machynlleth Comedy Festival; The Place Theatre, London; Dance House, Cardiff; Chapter Arts Centre. In autumn 2021 we toured seven village halls In England as part of the Rural Touring Dance Initiative Network.
