Fronted by Matt Downer on vocals and double bass, and joined by Dave Jones on piano, The Dapper Tones celebrate the golden age of jazz — from the foot-tapping tunes of the 1920s right through to modern favourites with a vintage twist. Their infectious rhythm and authentic swing make them a favourite with Lindy Hop dancers, blending smooth vocals, walking bass, and playful piano to keep the dance floor buzzing. Their set list is full of feel-good favourites and jazz gems — from classics like Blue Skies, All of Me, My Funny Valentine and I Can’t Give You Anything But Love, to lively crowd-pleasers like Almost Like Being in Love, Accentuate the Positive, Pennies from Heaven, Frim Fram Sauce and King of the Road. You might even catch their swinging takes on Fly Me to the Moon, Fever, or Everybody Wants to Be a Cat.
